Demolition

RSS

After more than 60 years, two acommodation blocks and the outside toilets have finally come down. April witnessed an important day when buildings, that had been used since the 1940's, were pulled down.

With the completion of the new build earlier in the year, it was a condition of our planning application that the old building be demolished. These buildings had served the camp through 13 British prime ministers, existed before Queen Elizabeth came to the throne and seen seven Wales Grand Slam wins!

St Madoc now has facilities suitable for the 21st Century and they will hopefull welcome visitors for many years to come. Maybe they will also witness not only more Grand Slam wins for Wales but even a World Cup triumph!
