The St Madoc Centre is rife with opportunities for volunteering. No matter your age, sex, skill or experience level we will be able to find you something to do. With volunteering opportunities from woodland management to bricklaying, there is something for every volunteer at the St Madoc Centre. Even if you wish to do indoor tasks, like painting, or data-entry then our staff will be able to find something for you to do!
If you wish to volunteer at the St Madoc Centre, but you don't think you have the expertise required our staff could well be able to train you, allowing you to perform tasks that you previously didn't think you would be able to.

Due to the size of our site and the nature of the work we do the steady flow of volunteers has allowed the completion of jobs that would otherwise have been left incomplete.
The following is a brief, and by no means exhaustive, list of tasks that would not have been completed without volunteer labour:
-
The creation of paths through our woodland and heathland. These paths have opened up the woods and heathland, allowing their use by groups staying on site.
-
Woodland maintenance. The paths allowed access to areas of woodland previously overgrown by the vine 'Clematis', this vine meant that wide areas of our woodland were totally inaccessible. The removal of the invasive Clematis has meant more areas of our woods can now be used.
-
Pond completion and maintenance. The pond had lain incomplete and unused for two decades before volunteers began to dig it out again. The pond is now used to encourage wild life and wild flowers to grow, and allow school groups to survey the life around it. This kind of opportunity may not have been had before by many groups.
-
Completion and maintenance of the allotment area. Volunteers helped us plan and create this area, allowing disaffected children and youths to help with harvesting and sowing of crops, allowing them to see where food comes from, and hopefully, putting them on their way to starting their own growing area.
-
Many jobs requiring a qualification or expertise outside of that which our staff has do not get done, due to the cost of labour, so if you happen to be an electrician or a plumber who wishes to donate your services we have plenty of jobs for you!
