Lord Anderson of Swansea.
Labour Peer who entered the House of Lords on 19 July 2005. Previously MP for Swansea East until 11 April 2005 but did not stand for re-election.

Positions held: Member of Parliament for Monmouth, 1966-1970 and Swansea East, 1974-2005. Opposition spokesman for foreign affairs, 1983-1992, on defence, 1993-1994 and Shadow Solicitor General, 1994-1995. Chairman, Foreign Affairs Select Committee, 1997-2005.

 
Lord and Lady Carey of Clifton.
Lord Carey was formerly Archbishop of Canterbury (1991-2002), Bishop of Bath and Wells (1988-1991), Principal of Trinity College, Bristol (1982-1988) and Vicar of St Nicholas' Church in Durham. George Carey was a curate in Islington, then a lecturer at Oak Hill Theological College from 1966, moving to St John's College, Nottingham in 1970.

Lady Carey was a nurse and still retains a great interest in medical matters. She is co-Chair of St.Luke’s Hospital for the Clergy Appeal and associated with Church Army

Lord and Lady Carey now live in Oldwalls, situated just a few miles from St Madoc Camp.
 
 
Councillor Mike Day.
Mike Day currently works part-time as Commercial Manager for the Technium Digital and part time for the Institute of Life Science based at Swansea University.

His background is in HR and Higher Education, having held posts such as Dean of Swansea Business School. He has taught on MBA programmes in the UK, Malaysia and Finland, which have included modules in Innovation Management. He has also run a couple of small businesses himself.

He is a local Councillor and has executive responsibility for Education in Swansea, covering 36,000 pupils in 108 schools.

He is also a past chair of St Madoc trustees.
