Swansea stands at the gateway to the Gower Peninsula (Britains first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and has many parks and museums, a 12th Century Castle, a Marina and historic Maritime Quarter. Among its famous sons and daughters are poet Dylan Thomas, comedian Sir Harry Secombe, pop singer Bonnie Tyler and actress Catherine Zeta Jones.
